For the Love of God & Country
When you read Proverbs 28:2-6, does it sound familiar to you? You know what that means; wickedness isn’t just an American thing and it isn’t new. I recently read an article where the Purdue University Online Writing Lab issued a summary regarding any terminology in writing with the use of the word “man.” The Purdue University Online Writing Lab is one of the most respected resources for writers in academia, but this is a scary trend for humanity. Where will we be in twenty years? In an interview with FoxNews, one professor stated she was “offended” by being called a “woman” and would rather be called a person or human. See the issue? There is moral rot in the United States, and the downward spiral of our society is met with only one solution; a return to holiness.
There is no other solution but to recognize the hope of our nation is in Jesus Christ and each of us returning to our knees in prayer. We live in a time when good is ruled as evil and evil is promoted as the moral and right way, a position to be admired in many cases. What does this have to do with love? First, it is because of the love God has for each of us, He has demonstrated mercy and longsuffering beyond our comprehension. Second, we should, because of our love for God and for mankind, return to the altar and pray until breakthrough comes in America. Wise and knowledgeable leaders bring stability, but there must be wise and knowledgeable leaders throughout, and, unfortunately, a lot of good people who are wise and knowledgeable are unwilling to face the persecution that will come with those positions. We need a massive move of God in our nation if we are going to see another 200 years!
Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your unfailing love, Your mercy, Your longsuffering. Thank You for second chances and the opportunity to live in these times. Give me wisdom and direction as I pray for America and our leaders. Heal America, Lord, and protect the remnant of Your people who remain! -Amen
When there is moral rot within a nation, its government topples easily.
But wise and knowledgeable leaders bring stability.
A poor person who oppresses the poor
is like a pounding rain that destroys the crops.
To reject the law is to praise the wicked;
to obey the law is to fight them.
Evil people don’t understand justice,
but those who follow the Lord understand completely.
Better to be poor and honest
than to be dishonest and rich.Proverbs 28:2-6 NLT
