Who Do You Say He Is?
Our world is a mess. At times, it seems like there’s no good left in this world, but that is the perception the enemy would have you buy. You see, if he can frustrate you and I to the point we quit overcoming evil with good, then there is nothing to stop the evil in this world. This time of year can often be confusing with various religious traditions, personal beliefs, and celebrations of the season. The enemy is always front and center in our lives, but is it because we place him there? More importantly, are we giving him more attention than we are Christ?
We should use this holiday season as a reminder of who Jesus is, not only as Lord and Savior, but as our Deliverer, Protector, Advocate, and the perfect Gift from the Father.
So I pose the question to you; Who do you say He is? Is Jesus still, to you, a baby in a manger? Or is He the eternal Savior, the everlasting One, the Lord of lords and King of kings? Is He front and center in your life more so than the troublesome times this life can present?
Today, while Christmas brings our attention to the manger for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, do not neglect the fact He is now risen, and soon we will celebrate the return of The King.
Heavenly Father, Thank You for the perfect Gift of Your Son, Jesus. In all the busyness of this life, help me to remember that You are the sole reason for celebrating, and I owe my life to You in return. -Amen
I believe if the Father could speak to you and I, He would want us to have a reminder of who He is in our lives:
My child, do not worry about the things of this life. I have given you all power over this life through my Son Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit. Your life is more valuable to Me than you can imagine. Your purpose may not seem clear now, but if you could see the plans I have for you, it would be more exciting than any holiday celebration. When troubles come, remember, my promise to you is that I will never leave you or forsake you, that I am your Deliverer, your Protector, your Healer, your Provider, I am more than able to provide for all you need in your life. There is nothing in your life that catches Me by surprise.
